Abigail ~ 8 days young ~

Baby Abigail has joined one of my favorite families! Vanessa has been a good friend of mine for the last 13 years and I’ve gotten the joy of watching her meet and marry the man of her dreams (Justin) and have 2 precious little ones. Abigail was so mellow and even let me lay her on her great grandmothers tea table! I love using props that actually have meaning and bring in one more element of interest. Abigail is so beautiful and already nice and chubby with a slight double chin and all!

Big brother Jackson didn’t need much convincing to be in the pictures and was such a great listener, he even gave me a few smiles and the sweetest part of the shoot was when he sat on the wall to wave goodbye to me.

Congratulations Justin, Vanessa and Jack!!

Payton and Kendall

Here are a few more of my favorites of the beautiful Cuomo girls! I had so much fun getting to know these girls and taking a few pictures to celebrate the special occasion of Kendall being baptized, and Payton getting ready to celebrate her 3rd birthday. Payton was so sweet and got a few toys out of my suitcase, grabbed my cardigan and cozied up on the couch. These are the pictures that I love to take, just kids being kids! Love it!

We are going to have a little “round 2″ to try and get just a few pictures of Payton smiling at me. :) I can’t wait!

Tess 6 days young

When I arrived at Scott and Sarah’s home to take pictures of Tess I could not believe how tiny and perfect she was! Weighing in at 5 lbs 8 oz at birth she is now trying to gain back a few ounces which made her all the more petite and amazing. I was completely captivated by her tiny, perfect features and her big round eyes. At only 6 days old she has the longest eyelashes I’ve ever seen on a newborn, so sweet!

We did this session outside because the weather was amazing and so was the light. Once Tess got comfortable she placed herself in the most adorable womb like positions taking a few breaks for a snack and then going back to sleep.

Aaaahhh the life a newbie. :)

Congratulations to Scott and Sarah, you’ve made one beautiful little girl!

MaKena ~ Class of 2012 ~

When I picked Makena up for her session she looked beautiful! She had picked out several outfits and I knew it was going to be a fun shoot, which it was! We headed down to Hilltop Park and from there we were going to Long Beach but with the races blocking off so much of LB at the time we ended up finding some random spots on the way. I love seeing what catches my eye and trying it out, there’s a lot of freedom with photography. It’s really not about the background but about the person and what ever I put Makena in front of I knew she would shine and bring the beauty. I love that she brought her prom dress, she looked stunning! Makena is not only beautiful but wicked smart and is on her way to becoming a Physicians Assistant.

I had so much fun spending the afternoon shooting her we might even do round 2 just for fun and actually go to that wall in LB now that the race cars are gone.

Elias 7.5 months

I shared a few pictures of Isaac and now it’s Elias’ turn! My boys are a huge inspiration to me, I love being their Mom. They’re constantly changing and showing me new ways to capture their personalities with my camera. The simplest moments become the best memories.

I get to wake up to this sweet face everyday! I feel so blessed.
